The Finale!!

Some of you will be relieved to know that it is all over, The Bachelorette that is.
My friend, Anna, came over and we all watched it together. Anna and I made shirts on Saturday. She was all about some Kyptin and I was rooting for Reid. Technically, we both lost. We were both wrong!! She chose the Mankini! They looked really happy together so I can’t say a whole lot other than Kyptin or Reid should be the next Bachelors!! All of the radio stations this morning were saying all Reid wanted was to come back to make his move to be the next bachelor which I think is stupid. I think he really cared about Jillian and realized how much he cared about her. If you say that about Reid you have to say the same thing about Ed. Who left on his own and came back. If Ed didn’t wear that horrible bathing suit and sit like a woman he would be alright. I mean she’s the one who will have to deal with that the rest of her life.

Kyptin handled the situation beautifully. He is such a stand up guy…They all go through the long limo ride out where they talk to the camera, cry and vent about the whole thing. He said a few things but for the most part just took it all in. What an emotional 6 weeks!!
I think it would have been hilarious at the end when they were showing Jillian and Ed throughout the whole season falling in love, if they played Wes’ song during the clips!! LOL! Just for a little humor:)

Here are some pictures from our evening last night:

We made our shirts on Saturday...Don't be jealous!!

Chad was just having such a wonderful time!!

Yes, at the end of the night we were pretty sad...oh well!! Good times!

Happy Birthday Brando!

One of my best friends, Brandy, has turned 26 today!! In addition to turning 26 this year she will marry her Prince Charming, Chris in September as well! She has so much to look forward to and this is such an exciting new chapter in her life. I first met Brandy back in 2004 through a mutual friend, Richard Hardin. We were inseparable after we met. We had our regular group that we would hang out with. The group we spent time with began to slowly fall apart. But not Brandy and I! We still continued to spend what seemed like everyday together during the summer. We slowly formed relationships with another group of friends. We are all very close still. All of this to say; that Brandy and I have always made our friendship last through everything. I think the closest I have ever felt to Brandy was when our friend Richard, who introduced us, died in a tragic car accident a few years ago. I was so glad we had each other as well as our friends to help us cope with the tragedy of losing someone we loved very much.
Brandy is an absolute sweetheart. We always have fun together and laugh together. I remember when an evil boy broke my heart years ago and I called her so upset. She drove from Barnesville to my house to spend the night so I could have a friend there with me. That’s the kind of friend she is. She will drop anything at a moments notice to be there for her friends. She has always been that way. We have had a lot of laughs and a lot of tears shed throughout our friendship. Our friendship continues to grow and I look forward to sharing a very special in her life with her.
I hope you have a wonderful Birthday Brando! Love you!

Happy Birthday Anna:)

One of my best friend’s, Anna, celebrated her 24’th Birthday yesterday. She is such an awesome person. She's almost always in a dress and has the cutest clothes. I always envy her outfits (even the Biblical sandals). She is addicted to baseball so you know she will be in a stadium just about every weekend during baseball season. She has the greatest laugh and we always laugh together:) She has always been there for me and that is why she has been a lifelong best friend of mine. My evening will consist of celebrating her special day with her with some dinner and dancing!! I love getting to spend time with her and I don’t think she will ever realize how much her friendship means to me. I love you and I will see you tonight and dance the night away!!

My Friend Samantha

I have known Samantha since I was five years old. We have literally been through everything together; Chasing boys on the playgrounds, Slumber parties, College classes (that were absolutely pointless), stupid boys, Graduation, and now she is one of my beautiful Bridesmaids. There is no way I can possibly sum up what Samantha means to me in a blog. She is my two hour phone call during the week. She is my gmail conversation during the day. She is my shoulder to cry on when things go wrong. Samantha is my lifelong friend that I will be able to share everything with. I cannot wait to be a part of her wedding day when she meets that one amazing man. God has blessed me with her in my life.
Samantha and her mother did a wedding shower for me on Saturday. As soon as I walked in I held back the tears because it looked amazing. They went all out and every bit of it was beyond creative. Everything to cupcakes with gingerbread people on the top with a iced wedding cake and veil to a tux, with pictures of us on them. The thoughtfulness that went into this shower was overwhelming at times. As I sat in the "special chair" opening presents I couldn't help but look around the room and think, "I have the most amazing friends, hands down." They are always there for me and they have been amazing during this special time of my life. Samantha is a selfless person who will do anything to make you smile and feel special. There are times during the day that I think about funny stories from the past and just about all of them have Samantha in them. I say all of this to say that during this period of my life I am learning so much about cherising every minute. Whether it is with my family or friends.
Yesterday, I watched Australia with my mom and she doesn't know this but there were times I watched her and not the movie. I kept thinking to myself how blessed I am to have her in my life.
Saturday night I was hanging out at the house and I wanted to watch Father of the Bride. I have watched that movie so many times before however this time was different. Since I can relate to more to what was going on I think I was in tears for half of the movie. The relationship I have with my Daddy is so special. I think many of the thoughts expressed in the movie is exactly how my Dad is feeling. There is so much I am going to miss but I have so much to look forward to. At what point in the movie he expresses how he remembers when he could fit her whole hand in his. Yesterday in church my dad and I held hands during the prayer, it still fits perfectly there just in a different way.
Many random thoughts but this is what is going on in my mind today. Hope its not too hard to follow. I will leave you with some pictures from the shower on Saturday:
