There's no crying on St. Patty's Day

Oh but there is....

Landon's school did a St. Patty's Day Parade. We were asked to dress them in yellow shirts so they could be gold coins in a pot of gold. Obviously I knew this was going to go one way or the other...Just didn't expect what you will see below. He did okay until he saw us and then he just wanted to be with us. I don't think he understood why the stroller kept taking him further and further away....

Please ignore the fact that my son looks like a Giant compared to those in his class. He is promoting out in a couple of weeks. He is by far the oldest in his class. We couldn't stop laughing at how much bigger he was than the other kids.

12 months...Wait a minute - A year?!?!?!

Dear Landon,

My incredible, fearless 1 year old. How did this happen? It feels like I was holding you in the hospital yesterday. You sure have taken off since 11 months...Literally. You little man are walking everywhere and getting more curious each day. You now have 5 teeth and you love to show them off using that smile that melts my heart. When you laugh, you have no idea what it does to me. Thank God for sweet baby laughs. This past month was a little rough for you with the hand, foot, mouth virus and a double ear infection...then a single ear infection. You remained playful and love climbing on any and everything. You love your bath time still which is great. It's fun to watch you play. I often wonder what you are thinking watching you play. You love your Mickey Mouse Club House and Jake and the Netherland Pirates and you watch it as though you understand 100 percent what is going on....My genius child - I'm sure you do. You are now riding facing forward in the car and you love it. You love to look out the window and play with your toys as we ride. You could do without the sun in your face on the way home but your mommy hasn't figured out how to fix that yet. Sadly, I think this will be my last monthly update about you but I will be doing updates just not monthly. I'd rather spend my time with you sweet boy. I love you and still can't believe you are over a year old. I wish I could freeze time.

In my Upper 20's

Before today I could still claim the mid 20's but apparently I am moving on up. Honestly, I feel older. Ha! Could it be from exhausting days and lack of sleep? Possibly. I am so thankful for the life God has graciously given me. I have never felt more blessed in my life. I mean that. I have hands down the best husband - Yes, at times I vent and get frustrated but he's my best friend. There's no one else I'd rather tease, make fun of, laugh with or argue with. We just make sense babe :) With my best friend, I have hands down the sweetest and most precious little boy in the world. Yes, the world. Partial? Nope - Just stating the facts :) I thought I was excited before him to get home from work but it's on a whole different level now. I think about my little family constantly throughout the day and cannot wait to get home to play with them and to hear the laugh that makes my heart smile. Seeing him walk the best that he can to get to me in the afternoons is a feeling I cannot put into words. If you are a mom - you feel me on this one. Life is only going to get better. I thank God for blessing me that way that he has. Here's to another year and getting close to 30?!?!?

11 Months?!?!?

Dear sweet boy,

I cannot fully wrap my head around the fact that I am sending out invitations to your first birthday party. I don't know where time has gone. This year has been full of wonderful memories for the beginning of our little family. You are still rocking those two bottom teeth. I love those two little teeth and you are so proud of them. Those top teeth are about to cut through though. I love when you call for me when you are upset. You are in love with Mickey Mouse Club House. You watch it as if you fully understand whats going on - which I'm convinced you do because let's face it - you are a genius. I hear that theme song in my sleep and especially the Hot Dog Song. You are not fully walking yet but you are taking steps. You have a little mix of crawling and walking going on. Your personality continues to come out more and more. When you giggle in your sleep it makes me smile. You have hands down the greatest laugh - it's contagious. Sometimes we have to stop making you laugh so you can catch your breath. You love to climb and I mean climb on everything. Your newest adventure is flipping the clothes basket over and climbing up one side and down the other. But you circle around it for about 5 minutes before you do that - just to size it up.  You love to wrestle with your daddy. You still insist on walking with one toy in each hand but I think it's because you like a challenge. I will try not to cry at your birthday party but I make no guarantees because I love you to the moon and back sweet boy. No smile melts my heart the ways your does. I'll admit that you have me wrapped around that sweet little finger.  Your Daddy and I love you so much! Try to slow down just a little for us.

New Furniture!!!

So Chad and I went on Tuesday and I guess you could say we got a few new things ;)

I love love love all of this!!! It adds so much to our living room and dining room :) and the rug gives is a splash of color...Still have a little bit of work today but I loved smelling the leather in our home last night!!

10 months

Dear Landon,
I cannot believe how big you are getting baby boy! Your personality is getting stronger and stronger each day. Your laugh lights up a room and makes my heart smile. Your so ticklish and you don't stay still at all - unless your sleeping ;) You had  a wonderful first Thanksgiving and you tore up some sweet potatoes!! You love them just like your Daddy. I love getting to spend time with you and watch you learn right before my eyes. You are catching onto things. You love to crawl around and have at least one toy in each hand. I guess you like a challenge ;) You are going through a little stage where you are fighting naps. You are pretty much over the baby food but you love your yogurt, just like your momma did growing up. Your such a smart little boy :) Cannot wait to celebrate our first Christmas with you!

P.S. Your Dad thought it would be funny to give you a mohawk for your 10 month picture (I don't think you were a fan!

Slacker

Hello all!

So yes - I have neglected my blog of personal updates. Shame shame. So much has gone on since my last update on personal things going on. I'm not even really sure of where to start....Here we go...

So my lovely sister married her prince charming, Daniel Bentley on November 5.  I think I did a pretty awesome job of planning her Bachelorette party if I do say so myself. It was a surprise for her - All of it. She had no clue where we were going and I loved that. We started off meeting at my house and from there we headed out to Buckhead for the evening. We had an amazing dinner at Maggianos and from there went to a painting class. It was a fun girls night. She had all of her besties there and just had good wholesome fun. And I had a theme (Thank you Pinterest) What did I do before you? ha!

And YES - That cake was truly as awesome as it looks! Shout out to MEG!!! You rock my dear!
