Moving to Marketing

So I wanted to share with everyone that I have my official start for my move to the Chick-fil-A Marketing Department!!

And the date is....

Drum Roll Please.......

June 1'st!!! Next Tuesday!!!

I am SUPER excited about this move and the doors of opportunity that it is going to open :)
God is so good and I am so thankful that He and He alone has a plan for my life. My patience was tested and there were days that I failed on that test. All in all I knew there was a reason and even though I may not see that reason at the moment and I may never see that reason I know it was all for the better.

Too much for this age group

I was in total shock when I watched this. I personally think this is wrong on so many levels. The dance teacher should not be allowed to teach dance classes to this age group ever again and the parents need to have their heads examined. They are robbing these little girls of their youth. What do you think?

Trees are falling

So tonight Chad and I went out for our run before dinner and we came back home something really random happened. We were sitting in the living room talking when all of a sudden we hear this very strange noise. Chad looked in the kitchen and I glanced outside from the couch and I was like what in the world??? I saw a limb falling - a big limb...I thought the whole tree was falling. I guess I am a little confused because today was perfect; sunny, no wind and def no rain...I am perplexed...

I did what???

Saturday morning was a great way to start off the weekend! We headed up to Atlantic Station at about 6:20 am and whoa was that an early Saturday. When we got there we met up with our team for some Team Pictures and then made our way to the start line. I was trying to prepare myself mentally for running the 5K. I had committed in my head to run the race no matter what. I told Chad that if he got first place then I would go to his go kart race that night. So he was determined to say the least. He and Daniel sprinted when the gun sounded. Nicole, Jenn and I paced ourselves. We ended up splitting up for various reasons. I need to say that I am not a runner by any means. Being surrounded by runners made me feel like one though. As I am coming up to the water table I am watching the pros as they throw the water in their mouths and keep going. So I followed their example and threw it my mouth but ended up with water all over my face and on my shirt while I think one drop landed in my mouth. After that; I saw Daniel near me and hollered at him and he and I ran the rest together. Once I saw the finish line I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride that I didn't give up. I finished in 33:05 and time didn't really matter to me I just wanted to run the entire thing and not quit. When I stopped running my legs felt like JELLO. Mission Accomplished!

We got back to the house and we all crashed. Nobody wanted to move but we had to. Chad and I headed over to his Dad's because it was time for a night of Go Karts. We made our way up to Dalton, GA for the evening. Bradley was able to bring Emily and I love getting to spend time with this little chick. She is a mess and I love every bit of her! Lindsey and I spent most of the evening laughing and cutting up with Emily while the boys worked on their karts. They made a huge improvement during the practice and qualifying but the main was not too good. Not sure what the missing piece is to this world of go kart racing but I hope they figure it out soon!
This is Emily and she is a bundle of energy with a very vivid imagination. I love her to pieces!

Mother's Day and Mary Poppins

I'd like to say that I am 100% sure that my mom had a wonderful Mother's day. I know I did and I am not even a mommy yet! It was a wonderful day spending time with Mom, Jenn, Honey (My grandmother) and Aunt Cathy. We had a late lunch at The Broadway Diner in Fayetteville and then made our way to The Fox for the anticipated Mary Poppins. Words could not describe my excitement about seeing this musical! The drive down was typical; Mom driving and everyone telling her how to drive ;) This is the norm for us... When we got there it was very clear that mom was pretty much over all of us telling her how to drive so we all decided to be quiet. She decided since the parking lot was pretty much empty that it would be a good time to back into a spot. We asked if she needed help and we were told infatically...No! Honey and Jenn went on while Cathy and I hung back. I'm so glad we did. We looked over and saw Mom backing into the spot with the door open and with her leaning out trying to see behind her...I couldn't help but laugh as she was swerving from right to left. We all had a good laugh. We did the whole tourist thing - Taking pictures in front of the Mary Poppins display. Didn't bother me that we were taking up majority of the sidewalk. Jenn and I went and checked out what they had for sale...Tempted much? To say the least. I could have bought everything. Snowglobe- $40, T-shirt -$25, Poster -$10, Chad's expression when I bring all of that home - Priceless. To save myself the headache I purchased nothing :( Maybe when I become CEO of a Company ;)
We found our seats which just so happened to be pretty darn good - If I do say so myself. (Pat on the back). Then it began and I was in awe! This hands down the best musical I have seen at The Fox. Granted I have only seen; Beauty and the Beast, White Christmas, and Jersey Boys which were all very good; Mary Poppins made me feel like a kid sitting there. Step in Time and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious were by far the best of the night! Those two had me on the edge of my seat. If you have seen this than you understand and if you don't understand then you need to go see it!

This is a video I found on Youtube of one of my favorite songs from the musical!!

Weekend Forecast - BUSY!

So I have a busy yet awesome weekend ahead!!! The fun begins bright and early on Saturday morning!! I am on a team for the Susan G. Komen run at Atlantic Station and I cannot wait. Well to be honest - I have really high arches on both feet making it painful to run for almost any period of time. I get really bad cramps anytime that I wear tennis shoes. Well, that has changed thank goodness!!! I called and spoke to someone at Phidippides in Atlanta since I knew I wouldn't be able to get up there before Saturday and they were so helpful. He recommended shoes to me based on what I was describing. After work yesterday. Chad and I went to Smith and Davis in Fayetteville because they have the machine you can stand on and it recognizes where you put pressure and she was pretty much like - yeah you need alot of arch support. With all of that said - I purchased the Asics Cumulus and so far they are fantastic! Chad and I went for a run last night and for the first time I didn't get cramps in my feet but something very weird happened. I wear the typical gear for running (shorts/T-shirt) and my legs while we were running were itching like CRAZY! I couldn't help but scratch!! I had red marks all over my legs. The only thing I can come up with is the fabric softener we use:( I love the smell of it but I don't want to deal with that...I'm going to wash them tonight minus the fabric softener and see what happens when I run again! Chad found it to be hilarious - I however did not. haha.
On Sunday I will be spending the evening with my mom, Jenn, Honey and Aunt Cathy. We are heading to The Fox to see Mary Poppins (a favorite of mine) and words cannot describe my excitement about seeing it!!  I am looking forward to time with my favorite people :) Nothing is better on Mother's day than spending the day with my mom :) I will have a full report of the musical on Monday! :)

On another note: Keep Jeremy and Molly in your prayers as Jeremy leaves Friday for NAVY OCS training. He will be gone for three months in Rhode Island. Chad and I have you both in our prayers and we love you :)
